Course Description

This is an introductory course to QuickBooks Pro. The course is designed to train new and existing small business entrepreneurs how to organize and manage their daily accounting activities. Students will learn how to set-up their company files, chart of accounts, budget, customers, vendors and employees. Emphasis will be placed on bank reconciliation and financial reports such as Profit and Loss Statement and Balance Sheet.

Course Outline as follows:

  •  Set up Company File and System Preferences

  •  Set up Chart of Accounts

  •  Set up Budget

  •  Set up Customers & Job and Track Income/Accounts Receivables

  •  Set up Vendors and Track Expenses and Accounts Payable

  •  Set up Employees, track Payroll and Timesheets

  •  Set up Banking and Credit Card Accounts

  •  Customize Reports and Graphics

  •  Customize Financial Statements (e.g., Profit and Loss)

  •  Analyze the Business & Assess Fees

 

Pre-requisite

Introduction to Computers. No accounting knowledge is necessary.
